Father Anthony P. Opem
Rev Anthony P Opem, 60 yrs, has served as founding pastor of Mother Teresa for 5 years.
He has served as high school senior Religion and Psychology Teacher, tennis coach, Newman Center Chaplain, College Teacher of Philosophy, Judge and Appeal Judge on the Marriage Tribunal and on the Priests Personnel Board.
Currently he is the Sioux Falls Diocesan Ecumenical Officer, Knights of Columbus State Chaplain, and on the Priests Retirement Board, Continuing Education Committee, and the Diocesan Investment Committee.
Fr. Opem has a Master of Education Degree from South Dakota State University with a major in Guidance & Counseling and a minor in psychology. His hobbies are cars and tennis. He celebrated his 35th anniversary in the priesthood on May 30, 2003. His parents and two brothers are still living.
